Recently my sister-in-law and her husband were affected with Covid-19. Both are doing better now and I thought I'd love to share what tips Debra might have for all of us. She is always on the forefront of the next good product. I love her attention to detail and the research she puts into it. She is by trade a meticulous dentist : A Prosthodontist in Manhattan with pretty high line exquisite taste. (May I add)..
Here I chit chat and banter..with Deb
Deb what are your favorite products right now and why?
I discovered this anti-bacterial/viral spray at a favorite haunt in St Barths many years ago and was immediately hooked on the clean, almost intoxicating smell. Made from essential oils, it's all natural and aroma-therapeutic.
Do Terra Adaptiv
I use this roll-on for my pulse points for its' immediate calming effect. It's been a much needed companion over these past stressful weeks.
Just a few whiffs of this oil blend with eucalyptus and laurel leaf has helped clear my airways, especially since losing my sense of taste and smell from the corona virus. Also it can be great protection against seasonal and environmental threats.
Love this fragrance and add it to my tea or hot water for the digestive benefits and as a tonic.
Also known as tea tree, and used for many skin ailments, if you add a few drops to the top of your head, it is supposed to help clear away inflammation. I use it right before bedtime and rub into my scalp.
My most intense symptoms with Covid-19 were stomach upset, fever and headaches but they seemed to resolve on day 5. My husband took a worse turn on day 8 and had to be hospitalized. This was probably the scariest time of my life trying to understand and advocate for him while not being able to be physically there. I had no choice but to maintain a positive outlook. Luckily I had a great support system with family, my kids, friends and amazing smart professionals. Also as a dental professional, If you think you may have been exposed to or are expressing any Covid-19 symptoms, an easy at home transmission prevention to reduce the oral bacteria is to rinse your mouth with 1% hydrogen peroxide for 1 minute. You can do this a couple of times a day.
